David,
Please send me your email address and phone number. I will let you know some days we can meet and hopefully you will be able to on one of those days. Send it to my email address, raisin@optilink.us.

David,
First, please call me Jim. We are not sure if we are going to make it to Sanibel for Christmas. It is being planned for December 20th through Janurary 2nd. If we do, I will let you know. It would be nice to meet and ride. Is it close enough for you to come down for the day or should we meet in the middle?
Jim
Hi David,
How was your Thanksgiving? I just ate the biggest lunch you have ever seen. I wish I knew where it all went. Some friends laugh saying it goes straight to my big fett.
Do you live close to Sanibel Island? We might be there for Christmas or after the new year. Have you been there and if yes, do you like it there?
Have a great day,
Jim
Thanks for your comment David. It's bad to hear you found out the hard way how important a helmet can be. I hope you will make some futher recovery. I also hope other people learn from our stories, so they don't have to go thu TBI.
David, I am sure you will get your wish and meet Saul. He is a wonderful person and a great inspiration and friend to me. Thanks you for your note. Regards, Larissa
David, thanks for your comment. Getting hit by a truck is even worse than a car. I was so lucky I could fully recover from my injurys. It seems you still have some problems due to your accident, but I think you deal with them in a great way. You do things some people might think are impossible with your injurys. Keep going!
You have accomplished so much....I think the fact that you ride everyday is inspiring..as far as math skills...I havent been in any accidents and your math I.Q. is most likley farther advanced than mine! Thank goodness there are things we can do in life that dont require us to use algebra on a daily basis...good to hear from you.
No problem David, you can always ask and I am happy to help you out.
Sergey Ivanov of the Katiusha team won. If you send me your emeil address I can send you some phots, I was at the race. Good weather, and I am happy Sergus won cause I know his mecanic and he had to work very hard to get a new bike fixed for him the night before the rase. That hard work payed of and so we had a celebration with the team at the finish.

Hey David
Yes 'Volderke', as we call him, did it again. Was very beautiful and I got very emotional as he crossed the line and pointed at the sky to his friend Frederiek Nolf who died in January.
No, I was not there, never go to visit that race. Was at 6 other races that year but Ronde van Vlaanderen is so crowdy that I never do that. You really need a VIP-pass to get near the race cause it is incredible. Up till 1 million people go to see that race in real, that is just insane!
By the way, although I am Flemmisch, I don't really like that race. I adore Amstel Gold Race and even more Fléche Walonne. That are harder races for a different type of riders.
Take care

If by small steps we make leaps and bounds throughout life....everyone should at least make that first small step to get going. This is what you've done. Throughout your life, you've taken every step to bring fulfillment into your life. I admire your persistent and courageous effort because you didn't stop. Nothing stopped you and now your first few "steps" have led to leaps and bounds. Better yet, you're flying high and pursuing your love for both sky and road...the best of both worlds :-) I can certainly learn a thing or two from you!
David, I am ordering more jerseys. It will take about 12 weeks before they arrive. When they do, I will post them on the web site and information on how you can get one.
Hi David,
You are a stud! I'm glad you've enjoyed my books and I look forward to hearing about your great accomplishments in the future. It was an honor to meet you.

Dave Shields

I haven't heard from you in a while. How are you doing? All is good in Georgia. Are you still riding you bike. What have you been up to?
