How did you learn about the Raisin Hope Foundation?
Saul paid me a surprise visit while I was a patient at the Shepherd Center in Septhember 2007. His story has been a story of inspiration to me each day I live further.
Hi Ted- thanks so much for asking. Jo's doing very well all-in-all. She works as a paralegal for a law firm, and has been able to return to work for the past month-and-a-half. Tomorrow is four months since the accident and she continues to improve. She can't drive as of yet, due to some lingering vision issues, but she's been undergoing vision therapy which has helped a lot. Her peripheral vision is coming back plus she is now able to see in stereo-which will help with depth perception. She's ridden outside twice, has started swimming, but no running as of yet - too jarring according to her neurologist. Last MRI was positive, we're waiting to do one more, there's still some residual area of lesion in the front. This is why we're waiting on running. Memory is good, cognitive skills good, everything improves daily, although not in a straight line.
Ted - Oh yes I may contribute but I'm for sure not going to write a book. I have my hands full trying to organize two events for RHF Colorado! Have a great day. Alice
Ted - We were so glad to meet you and your paretns at the RHF ride last weekend. I'm not writing a book but I think Yvonne is. I'm organizing the two RHF events in Colorado in August of 2009. Want to go on a road trip to Colorado next year? You can compete in a Time Trial overlooking the city of Denver! Alice

Ted - thanks so much for the message. Jo plans on responding herself, once we get her a new pair of glasses this week! She left Acute Rehab on Friday, after 11 days and starts outpatient rehab this coming week. She's already thinking of reaching out to others who have recovered and made a come back to cycling/triathlon - so I'm sure she will reach out shortly.
