We watched the movie with Saul and it brought back some sad memories. It is a good movie for insight to TBI.
Not the best entertainment but good for education of TBI.
Hi Saul,
Just watching the trailer was tough enough and evoked some strong emotions. I will see if I can get my hands on a copy and take a look. It may be tougher on my wife to watch it than for me.

If anyone has not seen the French movie The Diving Bell and the Butterfly? I normally do not like sad movies but it's portrayal of what it is like to wake up from a coma and have a brain injury is very real. For us brain injury survivors this movi...

Hi Saul- I heard you are living in Philadelphia right now... If this is correct, you might enjoy a group road bike ride that I'm holding this coming Sunday, which will {hopefully} raise some funds for Raisin Hope. Thanks for all your help with this foundation!
I am going to the book store tomorrow to get latest issue of Bicycling Magazine it is the 2009 charity ride guide and I hope to see the Raisin Hope ride in it in Dalton. Looking forward to it.
Saul
Hope you get to go up in the high altitude glider that sounds awesome. As you know I have gone up with Air Combat USA and that is really great. Should be cool with no engine too.
This is awesome!! I wish there were more sites like this! My son suffered a TBI on March 11, 2007. He is doing great but we have our ups and downs. You are an inspiration to many-- keep up the good work!
Sent an email, but not sure it's read. At any rate, had a bike in may 2002. Fortunately, wearing a helmet, and fortunately was in FABULOUS shape. As we all know, helmets are no protection against the "sloshing" of the brain on impact, so that's how I am here. I am totally back, but different. My marriage was one of the 70% that don't make it. However, am currently married to a man who didn't know me before, so only knows me now. I am doing IM Arizona this November. Almost fell over when I saw Saul's (my sister had given me a copy of your book for my bday) article in triathlete jan 2009 and found out that you will also be doing your first IM this year (albeit the infamous Hawaii). Ok, gotta go train now :)
Saul, I should try to get you to come to Philadelphia. I can reach out to some of our facilities here such as Magee Rehabilitation which has been ranked one of the best TBI Rehab centers in the USA and CHOP (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia)...another renowned hospital. Maybe you can do a Raisin Hope Ride in Philadelphia? It would take planning but there is definitely an audience and recoginition for awareness in this region.
