I never suffered from TBI, and hope never will. But a dear friend of me died from it.
She was waiting by the traffic lights to cross the street. She had her bike with her. A motorcycle came and hit her. Because she was holding her bike she could not use her hands to break the fall and so she hit her head real hard.
The accident occured at front of the hospital, so doctors arriveved very fast, but there was not much they could do for her. They kept her alive, brought her inside the hospital and did everything they could. The dammage was too big, she didn't make it.
Ann was the sweetest person I knew. Always taking care of everybody, even after she got her accident. She was organdonor and she saved the lives of 5 others after she died. She was the loving mother of 2 beautiful daughters and she took very good care of her disabled husband. They lost a very warm and caring person, the light of their lives.
TBI is something that effects everybody sooner or later. Places like this are so great, now people finaly can talk about it.
Thanks Saul, for this website and everything you keep on doing.
