I take it that the metric century will not go up Fort Mountain? Also, do you know yet if there will be races on Sunday like last year?
thanks!

I just now learned of the Raisin Hope ride scheduled for Sept, and at the same time learned of its cancellation. Just some feedback: 1.) most metro Atlanta cyclists are probably, like myself, unaware of the ride. It needs to be promoted on the many cycling ride and discussion boards that Atlanta cyclists frequent. Dalton is not too far away, and Ft. Mtn is an attractive riding destination. 2.) Strongly consider adding a century option. Most riders who hit all the major charity rides will ride a century. A metric century is not enough to justify a long drive for a lot of riders, regardless of the charity's cause.
I hope you'll reschedule the ride. I would certainly have signed up, and i think it could draw a lot of riders if the two suggestions I made are followed.

Saul, Yvonne, & Jim,
My heart also breaks for all of you. This is a special ride. I hope it can be rescheduled. Maybe Dave Patton is right. Need more publicity about the ride. You are not that far from several major cities. Also, I think this may just have been a bad weekend for people for numerous weekend. I wish I lived closer and could help more. As Dianne said, Raisin Hope will have its day. I will be praying for all of you and for the next Raisin Hope Ride. Maybe, when it is rescheduled, Doug and I will be able to be there.
God Bless all you do, Anne

Please keep us informed. I too, just learned about the low registration and found my way to the site to sign up, only to find it was cancelled. As a cyclist, especially one that has been in a serious accident, I consider it an obligation to support you and your foundation. I will be making the trip from Indiana come ride time- just say when and where.

Hi all,

I am still planning to be there on the 5th. Let's just plan on doing a group ride with Saul and Jim. I'll see if I can get some type of support for the ride from some of my sponsors. My wife can do our SAG support. This is not foreign to Mary Ann. She has followed me through the Mojave desert, up Haleakala volcano on Maui, and to Key Largo during a training ride. I hope that I will be able to finally meet some of you in person that weekend.

Be safe and be well,

Randy

I will follow this post, and will be there if there will be others making the ride as well.. I was @ Chattooga Ride this past weekend, they had 400 riders and I over heard many many of the riders mention the Saul Raisin Ride weekend and were planning to support Saul and his cause...
I hope it goes on and Saul and Jim can be there...
Tks for your support
